This place felt a lot like a college dorm room. Two bunk beds with a couple desks and a private bathroom. The breakfast buffet downstairs was FANTASTIC. Friendly staff, as well.

This is a pretty neutral location. The main Salzburg train station is a good walk away, but there is a station just around the corner.

The Gaestehaus is an excellent address for family looking to stay relatively cheap, the room was clean and spacious enough for 2adults and 2 teens, bedsheets and towels can be provided for extra fees. Breakfast was good. Free parking.
Located in Salzburg, YoHo - International Youth Hostel is only a 10-minute walk from the main train station.

The location was ideal, just a few minutes to downtown and to the train station. We walked almost everywhere by foot. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The private rooms are comfortable and simple. Everything is very clean.

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.
View outstanding, but of course a hike to earn it! Once you get used to those stairs it goes more quickly but the first hike up with bags was grueling. Clean clean clean, very safe feeling place, youth hostel vibe (but super clean!)
One of the best hostels I’ve been to. Very cheap but the hostel offered a lot like free towel and toiletries. It’s very clean as well.
It’s close to the train station and check-in is very quick. They send a booking code that can be used on a self-Checkin machine that actually works.
Will definitely stay here again when I go back to Salzburg.
The hostel was in a great location, on a quiet street halfway between the train station and the city centre. Staff were friendly and always around to answer any questions. There were lots of ladies showers, and they were kept very clean. Rooms were spacious and included a desk and a secure locker each (which locked with your room key). The bunk beds were really solidly built and comfortable (not the flimsy squeaky type you get in most cheap hostels!) Coffee, tea and juice available at reception throughout the day was a nice bonus.
many shared areas with plenty of space available.
staff was nice and helpful.
cheap to wash and dry clothes comparing to other hostels (3€ for wash 3€ for dry)
bunk beds in shared room were comfortable and not noisy like in other hostels.
location was convenient
The eco concept and design was cool. Loved the reclaimed wood and dangling light bulb and socket design. The decor was practical and beautiful. Beds were sturdy and comfortable. Great communal areas - had a good backpacker/hostel vibe. Easy to check-in, convenient luggage storage and easy to get from the airport and hauptbahnhof. Safe location and quiet. Great for a solo female traveller. About 10mins walk from the city centre.
A decent youth hostel, providing cheap stay in the expensive city of Salzburg.
The hostel is located strategically, equidistant from the Salzburg Hbf and Salzburg city center.
There is a common seating area on the ground floor and they also offer lockers (1 EUR per day) in case you want to store your luggage after checking out.
They serve breakfast and that costs 5 EUR per person.
Location ok, very pleasant lady on reception, breakfast was just bread/cheese/ham/apple/egg/coffee, which is typical for every place. Hostel reminds post soviet dormitory as we have in Czech Republic for students, but as I understood cheaper price you wouldn’t find anyways, Austria has its own crazy prices. So in total place is ok, especially for one night :) Very clean, silent, nice nature, all good
This place is exactly like a cheap backpackers hostel but with rooms instead of dormitories and you get a towel. Bathrooms have a shower and toilet together and there are very few of them. Old building, some things like furniture are cheap, second-hand and old. Things that break or fall apart are repaired instead of replaced. No staff on site is annoying when there is a problem. Much of what is in the room has been made cheaply and looks that way.
