Budget travellers know that there is no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a bit more.
This is a hostel kind of facility and we had a big bedroom with multiple beds
Clean, comfortable beds
Excellent hosts
Amazing breakfast
Beautiful location
This hostel is a true gem - cozy, quaint, and full of character. The staff were warm and welcoming, the rooms were snug and comfortable, and the communal spaces were perfect for meeting fellow travelers. But what really made my stay special was the town itself - Bad Goisern is a fairytale come true, with its picturesque scenery. I felt like I was walking through a storybook. Hostel Bad Goisern is the perfect base for exploring this sweet town and all the other neighbouring towns.
Bad Goisern is not a big town but the atmosphere in this hostel was great. Good facilities, big kitchen with lots of cooking utensils, free tea and coffee. Toilets were clean and probably newly refurbished. There are restaurants near the hostel if you don't want to cook on your own.
Bad Goisern itself is located near Bad Ischl and not too far from Hallstatt if you want a cheaper stay.
