Looking for a hostel?
Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Great location in town, staff very kind and the room met our expectations. The shower was nice and warm, and we were within walking distance of many places to eat. There is a nice balcony, which we unfortunately didn't really use since it was cold and windy during our stay.

The host (Dora Gonzales) was so so lovely! She was super helpful with answering all questions and giving suggestions for what to do in Iruya and neighbouring towns. It was an incredibly enjoyable stay in a lovely village. The hostel is very cute, with clean rooms and wonderful views of the mountain. I highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Iruya!

El hostelito was a wonderful relaxed place to stay in the beautiful town of Iruya. Dora, the owner was extremely helpful and generally very friendly. My two nights easily turned into more — a great place to stay! Thanks for your hospitality, Dora!

El Hostelito is more than a hostel. It’s a vibrant family. It’s a wonderful place to stay and ask questions about the surrounding area and deep history, a true gem in the region. The shared table in the kitchen offers opportunities to commune and share reflections from the day, whether over delicious budín or mate or any other occasion. A terrace above offers special views of town comings and goings. Dora and Angelica are great people. Be sure to stop by and say hello!

If you want to stay local this is a great place. Feels like staying in someone's home. The room was big, the shower was great with really hot water, it was clean and nice. It is up a very steep hill, but on the other hand I think more or less any hostel in Iruya is. I would definitely recommend staying here :)
