The hosts sent a comprehensive information package already in advance and Greg helped with local advice to make a maximum out of my stay. Will happily visit again. Great experience.

Deo Resta Guest Lodge offers free WiFi. Every room is equipped with a patio. All units at the guest house are fitted with a flat-screen TV and a kitchenette. Excellent, secure, quiet location on outskirts of Piet Retief (Mkhondo). Cosy, warm, extremely comfortable, double bed cottage with mini kitchenette (microwave, sink & fridge) and very high-end, luxury touches provided by fabulous hosts, Lizel & Willie. Piping hot water in well appointed en-suite bathroom. Load-shedding (or deliberate electricity outages) no problem thanks to on-site generator. Delicious coffee, rusks and full English breakfast (plus cereals etc). Ideal location for travellers wishing to break the road journey between Northern KwaZulu Natal and Eastern Transvaal (Limpopo). Excellent value for money, this is a newly discovered gem that could and should easily cost 40%-50% more than it currently does. Highly recommended and will definitely return.
