Sunrock Guesthouse offers free airport shuttle is available from and to OR Tambo International Airport, a barbecue and entertainment area, a fully-licensed bar and an outdoor pool. Very smooth experience from airport pick-up to drop off. Breakfast was excellent and facilities clean and comfortable. The communal areas were interesting, so you could hang without feeling too closeted. We explored the neighbourhood which had plenty to see close by if you like people watching and a bit of shopping.

The property is a true gem. Exceptional value for money and the host is very kind. Distance to the airport is 12-15min with 🚕 which is very convenient. The location is in a quiet and safe area of Joburg. They have different kinds of rooms and all are furnished individually and with much attention to detail. Highly recommend this place and will be booking there again once I am back in SA.

The hosts were amazingly forthcoming, kind and generally amazing. Communication was easy and the check-in uncomplicated. The apartment ist decorated with a lot of heart and tastfully selected art, which makes one feel very comfortably at home. The winter night was cold but there was a fireplace and a gas heater which helped warm up the rooms. We were able to leave our bags after check-out and were even able to stay longer than expected in the apartment as there weren't any bookings for that day. It suits short as well as long stays as it is fully equipped with a great kitchen. If I were back to Johannesburg I would 100% try and stay at this amazing guesthouse. An extra plus are the friendly two cats on the property :) Thank you so much!
