The large shared bathroom is very clean, and mixed for men and women. The beds in the dorm are large, with hooks and powerpoints. There are designated lockers, and you need to bring your own padlock. The location is walking distance from the main bus station and about 20min walk from the wharf to take the boat to little Liuqiu island. The night market on Saturdays is at the doorstep.

Very nice big room with a comfortable bed. Minimally but tastefully decorated. Parking spot was a massive plus. Kitchen downstairs well equipped and nice enough to hang out there. The host left us some fruit in the fridge which was a really nice touch.

Requests such as extra pillows, water etc were met quickly.

Located within 400 metres of Houwan Beach and 10 km of Sichongxi Hot Spring, Kenting Onehome provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Checheng. Room 301 was great, nice view, good comfort , very clean, the beach directly in front of the hotel. The owner was very helpful. A good restaurant is just 500 m away in direction of the road to Checheng (closed on Tuesday)

Set in Chaozhou, the recently renovated Five Rabbits offers accommodation 25 km from Siaogang Station and 30 km from National Science and Technology Museum. Lady boss is the best. She really took the time to get to know me, seeing how I'm a solo traveler who can only speak basic Chinese. She explained everything in detail and also prepared fresh cut guava for all the guests. She was so sweet to even upgrade me to a family room even though I'm just a solo traveler. Having her as a host really helps solo travelling feel less lonely.
