I came from the United States for a visit to my wife’s parents home. There were too many people staying in one apartment, so my wife and I decided last minute to book a room. Casa Doner is 5 minutes walk from the train station, 20 minutes walk from the city center and 25 minutes walk from my gym (Stay Fit- Mercur Mall). The room was extremely clean, everything was new, modern. The bathroom was new, the shower had excellent water pressure and as much hot water as one would like. The room had a Daiken air conditioning unit, extremely quiet and efficient. The room also had a mini fridge. Yes, the room is above a fast food restaurant. We had the back room, which is the smallest. You can hear some music up until about 11:30 PM, but it wasn’t very loud. The entrance/stairs to go up to the room is hot from the kitchen below. We just let the air conditioning run constantly and the room was always cold and comfortable, considering the temperature was around 86 degrees Fahrenheit every day. The employees that work at the fast food restaurant gave us the key to our room and the code to the entrance door. For what we paid, the value was great for what we needed, considering we booked the room with only 10 hours notice. Casa Doner is located on a fairly busy road, but we did not hear any street noise as we kept the windows closed and we let the air conditioner run. On a Saturday night there was actually no street noise. At check out, the restaurant was not open yet, so we left the key in the door inside the room and the door unlocked, very easy. We did not use it, but in the hallway outside the door there was a kettle with as much tea, instant coffee and hot chocolate as one might like. We stayed 2 days, our room was not cleaned during our stay. We did not ask about housekeeping cleaning for longer stays. Highly recommend, if there is a need for just a room.

Lovely stay with a very nice man! The room was clean and comfortable. We could use a kitchen, fridge and were shown where to park. Both checkin and checkout was fast and smooth. We stayed with a dog and it was no problem. Thank you for a nice stay!

Set 5 km from Ion Oblemeco Stadium, Pensiunea Magnolia in Craiova features a garden. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. Everything was smooth and easy, breakfast was delicious, room was very cleaned and the staff very friendly and helpful, parking is also available,,not noise

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Pensiunea Cristina offers accommodation in Craiova. The guest house has a terrace and views of the garden, and guests can enjoy a drink at the bar. The guest house is placed in a quite area, near Selgros/Dedeman shops. The room (I stayed in no.5) was very spacious with a lot of facilities (heating, refrigerator, TV, audio system, bathroom equipped, balcony, very large bed, etc). The host was very politely and help us with all needed information. The breakfast was ok. I will revert with the first occasion.

Set in the city centre, the stylish La Favorita Guesthouse Boutique features air-conditioned rooms with thematic decorations and hand-made mural paintings. Free WiFi is available in all areas. Location was right in the center, the personnel were very kind and everything smelled good, room was so clean and cosy.

Home and Garden is directly located at the Eurovelo 6, what was perfect for me as a cyclist taking that route. The garden is absolutely wonderful for a peaceful evening, where I had home made cake and watermelon with Florian. The family was very engaged and friendly even though I booked last minute.
