Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace, Cantinho da Susana is located in Coimbra. It is situated 1.2 km from Santa Clara a Velha Monastery and features private check-in and check-out. Susana was an amazing host, and little Arya too! They both warmly welcomed us with a wide smile, alongside some cute gifts, a cool Praxis beer and many treats for our dog... and a puppy bed that served as a soft pillow. It's not easy to find amazing stays that are truly pet-friendly as well. Location-wise, it's walking distance from Coimbra's downtown though it might still be better to use a car since it's a bit of a climb. There's a supermarket, a few cafés, and most points-of-interest south-west of the river close-by. The room has it own entrance and a small patio, which is convenient (Susana lived upstairs), and it was very cozy and well decorated. While it does not have a kitchenet per-se, it actually felt more like an apartment, and would be great for shorter stays or those looking to eat out more often (the city has tons of great restaurants). The microwave and coffee-maker should fulfill most needs.

Located 3.6 km from Congressional Center of Aveiro, 3.8 km from University of Aveiro and 9.3 km from Aveiro Municipal Stadium, Ana Paula House offers accommodation set in Aveiro. Ana Paula was an amazing host. She welcomed us with a traditional pastry called “ovo moles” and it was delicious. Although we were only there for a night, Ana made the place feel like home. It was very clean and the other guests were very mindful as well. I will definitely be going back!
