You can get breakfast for 12 soles, showers has only cold water, but that is okay as it was really hot, but keep in mind that I was during the rainy season, in dry season temperature can drop by like 10 degrees celsius. For my surprise I slept pretty good despite the hotness. The place is quite artsy, they have hammocks, books, it is really beautiful, everything is made mostly out of wood, which I liked.

Raul also allowed me to check in early in the morning and rest in another room, while the guest checked out of the room I had booked. This was really great because I had just arrived on the overnight bus and was very tired. The shared kitchen is small but had everything I needed. Raul made himself available to take me into the centre of town, on his motorbike, to shop for groceries, for a very affordable fee. This was an extra service that I was very grateful for. He is very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna, and spent some time and care showing me around the town and port. I wish Raul well with his hostal business. And thanks for the extra care and attention.
