The cleanliness of the homestay was impeccable, and I appreciated the warm shower and cozy bed. However, what truly made my stay exceptional was the warmth and friendliness of Pilar and Jose Luis. They were incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home. Additionally, it was a great opportunity to practice speaking Spanish with the family. I highly recommend Tikawasi Homestay for a memorable and enjoyable stay on Amantani Island.

Issac had great communication from the start and provided very easy instructions to and from Puno. We took a local taxi to the port as there was no Uber and the boat ride which is amazing was about 20 min. For an additional cost we opted for an amazing dinner brought to our room. Our fav was the bed which was the comfiest in all of Peru with a king size mattress. Sunset views are spectacular and the serene calm of the lake was an experience. Thank you to Issac and his family for all their hospitality and very warm welcome and goodbye.

We got picked up at Kalapajra Port and were able to rent kayaks to explore Uros Islands and the natural reserve. The house was lovely and quiet with a beautiful view. The owner is very helpful and can arrange everything for us!!One of the most hard working guys I have seen!!! The breakfast is very good and his cooking is great! We love our chifas that he cooked!! It's a great way to see how the local people live. He also offers tours. Excellent stay and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The hosts were incredibly helpful, always smiling and made us feel like home. They bought coca leaves for us because we had mountain sickness and gave us an entire bag for free. They also allowed us to leave our bags on the last day until the evening so that we could enjoy our tour. We felt very blessed to be welcomed in the inn and we would definitely come back.
