Al Mintirib
Boasting a garden, a year-round outdoor pool and pool views, R61 Sunset Chalet is situated in Al Mintirib. This homestay offers free private parking and a shared kitchen. The homestay features mountain views, a sun terrace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. It was an incredible experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The Chalet is magnificent, and I encourage everyone to visit it. The owner's approach was quite welcoming.
Al Raka
At the homestay, some units have a private entrance, dining area, fireplace and microwave. Some of the units feature a satellite flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with an oven, and a private bathroom with a hot tub and slippers. At the homestay, some units are fitted with a coffee machine and chocolates or cookies. Everything was perfect ! All the equipments are high quality. It's super clean and you will find everything you need. The owner wasn't in Oman during my stay but he checked on me everyday to be sure I wasn't missing of anything and his nephew took care of everything.

The warm welcoming of the place owner and flexibility of early check-in. Mohammed greeted us with a smile and made us feel at home. He didn't charge me for the omelette saying that it's their pleasure to serve us. I definitely want to visit again. Also I'm grateful for the sun block curtains! I could deep sleep without the sun creeping through the window:)

Said was amazing host. Do not cheat yourself for dinner at the camp. You can walk up the Hill behind the camp and see sunrise and sunset. It is close to the city but this gives an amazing contrast between dessert I one side and city in the other of the horizon. You can see a beautiful starsky here. This place is not for a luxury, perfect clean stay but for a local experience supporting local economy and with great host. Said served us omani coffee and dates at arrival. Thank you for great stay 🙏
Small camp with only 2 tents - made it very cozy and familiar Ali was a great host - very entertaining. Too bad he could not stay longer during our stay to share more about the life of the beduins Great that you could just walk up on a nearby sand dune do view sunset and sunrise
Amazing experience! A small and intimate camp in a peaceful location next to beautiful dunes. Rashid was such a good host, and dune bashing was so much fun. Special mention to food: this was the best dinner during our stay in Oman.
It's a small desert camp that offers a genuine and authentic experience. Said is a great host, very informative and welcoming. He tells plenty of stories and is an avid traveler himself. We loved the food and campfire at night. The desert itself is breathtaking.
All, Rashid was a great host. Had sleighs for the children. Food was great and also our children found some fries they liked!
Amazing place in the dunes near Bidiyah in Oman! The check-in is just so much fun right from the start: your 4x4 tires are deflated, and off you go through the dunes to the campsite. Rashid is a great host, very warm and welcoming, and very attentive to his guests. The room was unique and very comfortable, we had a restorative night there. The food for dinner and breakfast was delicious as well, in good quantity, served on this elevated platform with a view of the desert camp and the dunes. It was a lovely stay!
Had a great stay here! Lovely hosts and very peaceful in the desert. The tents are cosy! In the evening we ran up the dune behind the camp for a gorgeous sunset. Did the same again for sunrise. Can 100% recommend staying here.
