A beautiful guest house in the vicinity of Waipoua Kauri forest, with fantastic garden. It is located close to a main road, but there was not traffic at night and the place was very quiet. As there is no town nearby, we could observe an amazing sky with thousands and thousands of stars in the evening. Very friendly and helpful host.

Alice is just the most wonderful hostess. Her house is unbelievable. But that all pales, compared to the view you have from the back deck. The photos do not do it justice. What a vista. How we wish we had more than 1 night at this lovely little place! We were passing through the area on the way to Carterton and needed a place to rest for the night. We felt like we could've moved in! The place was immaculate and thoughtfully decorated with heavenly beds and warm throws. The washer was a great addition. We loved that the nooks are nestled in a working lime orchard and greatly appreciated the little welcome cheese, crackers, and chutney. Had we not been getting on a flight so soon, we would've bought a case of that stuff!
