We were welcomed by the very friendly manager who showed us the place and our rooms, Very charming and historical old, yet refurbished, farmhouse overlooking the village and valley. We had access to a huge kitchen with everything needed to store food and prepare meals. If you cant be bothered to make your own meals its less than 5 minutes walk down to the Skjolden Hotel which has an amazing restaurant. Would absolutely recommend Eide Gaard.

We loved the location, how private and peaceful it was with stunning views. We had rainy and windy weather when we were there and spend a full day at the cottage. It's very spacious and on the ground floor everything is wheel chair accessible (bathroom, kitchen, living area and bedrooms) which was perfect for my brother. On the outside there are small stairs to get to the front door

It was in a very quiet neighborhood and the view outside is spectacular! The host welcome us in person and introduced the facility. It has everything we need. A morning hike with rainbow made us the day.

Vangsgaarden Gjestgiveri is located in the oldest buildings in the village of Aurland. Situated on the shores of Aurlandsfjord, it offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. Nice apartment, right next to the bus station and the local Spar supermarket. Flam is 15 mins by local bus (check the schedule as they are not running all day). Stegastein Viewpoint can be reached by minibuses (you have to book seats online in advance as they are often full). Breakfast and also the dinner were great with nice selection. The room was really clean and spacious, we had fjord view that was an extra bonus. There is free coffee and tea near to the reception and a stylish waiting room too if you need after check-out. Aurland is way less touristy then Flam if you prefer to have a quiet night.

Very good location in town close to the main road but there was no noise from it. There is a proper kitchen where you can cook if you want. The room was big and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. It was very clean as well.
