Good location in quaint Serrig (never heard of it but is itself a non touristy beautiful town to walk/plus near beautiful Sarrig Old Town and Waterfall (worth a half day walk). Pension Schmitz offers great service (though not in English/translate by phone), very good breakfast—And YES you can make sandwiches to go/with bread, meat, cheese! Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. And the neighbors have a deer farm to enjoy—we fed them grass and weeds directly over the Schmitz fence. Oh—and did I mention the CASTLE VIEW over that same fence and from our room… all this for a very fair price! AMAZING!

Owners very friendly and helpful. We had bikes to cycle the Mosel pathways; very easy access to these. Found some good restaurants in neighbouring villages.

Immaculate and welcoming. The wonderful hosts set up special welcome basket for our anniversary celebration. They shared the ripe cherries from their own trees and helped us make dinner reservations at a special local restaurant. Beautiful views from the room windows and safe bicycle storage was available.

Guest House is set in Luxembourg, 4 km from Luxembourg Train Station, 40 km from Thionville train station, and 45 km from Trier Central Station. Upon my arrival I felt I had the 'flu, but Marnia quickly realise that it was worse than that. Two days later she called the SAMU who, somehow, she got to arrive within one hour. She stayed with me until they had loaded me, via a second floor window, into an ambulance and I was in hospital within two hours. Marnia then visited me in the hospital having bought me new pairs of pyjamas and slippers(!) and good things to eat. Her hospitality, always with a smile, even in the darkest moment was exceptional. One never knows when things are running smoothly how a person will react in a crisis. Marnia was quite perfect, cool, calm, collected and resourceful, knowing exactly both what to do and how to get it done. Thank you Marnia from the bottom of my heart for all you did, possibly to save my life. And the fact that you look like Catherine Deneuve added to the pleasure of the experience! Ciao!
