They gave us a fair exchange rate for kip. From the hotel you can walk to the bridge area in 10-15 minutes

Very basic but perfect if you just want a clean place to sleep. Very clean, one of the cleanest I’ve stayed at in Thailand. The young man that runs this place is super helpful and chatty. Just book it!

That guesthouse was truly amazing, we didn’t regret paying a bit more than the other places in town. Quite a view !! And the room is truly comfortable. The lady running the place is lovely and the crochet flowers she’s doing are very cute.

Nam Ou River Lodge offers comfortable rooms with river views and the convenience of a 24-hour front desk. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the residence. fab location a short walk to restaurants bars etc but it was super quiet here and beautiful view of the river- maybe bring a torch to walk home at night though! best bed in Laos for me. Mr Mang, the owner, also runs a bunch of tours. we didn't get a chance to try one this time but he was incredibly helpful for booking bus transfer but also renting some kayaks just for a little paddle. all staff at the hotel were very helpful and welcoming. I would stay again for sure!
