Very nice place in the heart of Kurashiki. The room is very pretty and comfortable. The toilet and bathing area are down stairs, which was completely fine for us, but maybe something to keep in mind. The staff was also very kind and helpful.

Set within 1.1 km of Hourseshoe Crab Museum and 4.3 km of Kasaoka Sun Plaza, オーベルジュ美の浜 流石 provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Kasaoka. This little hotel which I mainly booked to break up our driving journey between destinations turned out to be a little gem. It was quaint clean and had a beautiful traditional Japanese garden outlook from our room and the best dinner we had in Japan. The food was top notch and so delicious it melted in your mouth. Definitely book the meal option 😊

Excellent location to one day trips to Teshima and Naoshima. Nice breakfast, excellent mattresses and warm shower in a mix of Ryokan and hostel feeling. Last but not least: Espresso in-house. Would come back again.
