The owner set out a generous spread, with fresh toasted bread, eggs and bacon. The rooms were very clean, and common traveller needs such as laundry were provided for. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The place was extremely good value!

Offering a garden and quiet street view, Santari is set in Shintoku, 35 km from Lake Shikaribetsu and 47 km from Lake Kanayama Forest Park. Santari-san was an amazing host! He takes a genuine interest in his guests and enjoys sharing with them. I was welcomed with tea. He then took me to the local onsen and then later dropped me off at a yakatori for dinner. He cooked a fresh breakfast in the morning for the other guest and me. The house was clean, comfortable, and well decorated. Santari is not in a standard tourist area but it is definitely worth stopping here for the evening on the way between East and west Hokkaido.

Shabby House, a property with a garden, is set in Sapporo, 4.7 km from Sapporo Station, 14 km from Shin-Sapporo Station, as well as 20 km from Otarushi Zenibako City Center. Host was very friendly and accommodating. He fetched us to and from the station, made us breakfast, and was super fun to talk to.
