We arrived with a rented car but I think it's maybe 20-30 minutes to the nearest train station by walk. I heard the train ride there is incredible as well in sakura time but didn't have time to try it. The host family lives nextdoor, but you have a big house and yard all for yourself with all the privacy. There is a cozy fireplace, kitchen with all the amenities, TV and also an outdoor bath tube which was one of the best things. Also the host can rent you a tuktuk which was a special and unforgettable experience to drive in the countryside. We were lucky to visit by the best sakura time and the weather was also good. I also recommend trying the mochi making experience with the host family. You can also have a kotatsu outside for the evening. I'm pretty sure if you decide to stay here you won't be disappointed.

I reccomend this place. I liked the contactless checkin/checkout where i just got lock pin code to my email. But the checkin form was probably unnecessarily long (unlike other hotels where they just send you without too many questions)
