It's the southern part of the city, which is less busy but well connected by bus, taxi or rickshaw to other parts of Kolkata. There are many shops, tea stalls and eateries nearby, and even phone shops to get a local sim. The rooms are very clean and spacious - both my wife and I had space to do yoga in the room- and there is a shared living room and kitchen per floor. There is freshly made Indian-style breakfast is served every day. The owner Manoj, his son and the staff were all very welcoming and friendly, and also very helpful in helping us navigate things like doing laundry, using train apps and finding things. I have to stress, though, that this place is super clean and there is even filtered drinking water available for all the suites. We had to stay an extra day, and they quickly accommodated us as well. All in all, a really nice experience that in all honesty we were sad to leave behind.

This homestay was a lovely addition to our trip. We were only stay one night to catch and early flight. We accidentally arrived late and had to leave early but in our short time we felt so welcomed. The hosts went out of their way to make sure we were fed (which was delicious!) which we really appreciated. They also arranged a ride to the airport for us which meant we could just relax when we arrived. The home is lovely, clean and comfortable. They have a great covered patio to sit and enjoy meals. It was a shared bathroom but very clean. Bedroom was comfortable with aircon and a comfy blanket. Overall we enjoyed our stay and loved meeting the hosts. We would highly recommend staying here.

Monratino The Nest dispone de vistas a la montaña y wifi gratis. Ofrece alojamiento muy bien ubicado en Darjeeling, a poca distancia de Instituto de Montañismo del Himalaya y Parque Zoológico, Mahakal... I was pleasantly surprised to see this homestay tucked away in a peaceful place but just 1km away from the mall road.The rooms were beautiful and the personal attached balcony was the cherry on the cake. The view is just Breathtaking. The food served was delicious and just like home. I would love to visit this property again.
