Situated in Palolem, 80 metres from Palolem beach, Hilias Retreat boasts air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi. The property has also been recently renovated. We love everything. Rooms, hosts and location Quiet and calm place very close to the beach with nice view. Usually in India we sleep with earpluggs, it was the first place we did not need them. It was really very quiet location. Everyday house keeping, refrigerator in the room and any help you need. We spent there 8 night and it was perfect. Next time in Goa? Hilias Retreat for sure.

I only stayed one night because I arrived late in the night and had to travel on - but I loved it. The warmhearted owner treated me like a family member, arranged airport pickup and my further travels. I felt home, welcomed and taken care of, as I am a woman travelling alone in india late at night. My plane should have arrived by 10pm, but because it only arrived at 11pm, it was after 12pm when I arrived at the hotel. They where there for the check-in, what I really am so greatful for! I enjoyed the apartment a lot even though I stayed just one night. It had everything I needed. The guesthouse is close to the airport and it's 5 min away from the beach. A lot of shops and places to eat around. Highly recommended! The owner was super helpful and even organized a transport for me to my next destination, for which i was super grateful.

Very nice stay in Palolem completely in the middle of the town and walkable to the beach. Good for long term stays and short term too. Value for money and room is worth the money. Sanjay the host is a nice hospital person. He can guide you to new restaurants to have Goan cuisines. We will definitely visit again to Alba Rooms. The best part of this place are the shady trees which keeps the whole surrounding calm and cool. Nice sit out also in every rooms. Definitely must visit and stay place if you are going to Palolem beach.

We initially booked our stay at Gurukul for just 2 days but ended up extending it to 14 days because we felt so at home. Pooja ji is an exceptional host who ensures that every guest feels welcomed and comfortable. The entire atmosphere of the place is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by trees and nature, creating a serene environment perfect for relaxation. One of the highlights is the well-maintained Shiva temple on the property, where you can meditate and enjoy moments of silence. The use of the kitchen adds to the homely feeling, allowing you to cook and make the most of your stay. Patnem Beach is also conveniently close, making it an ideal location for beach lovers. Overall, this was one of the best experiences we've had in South Goa. A big thanks to Pooja ji for making our stay so memorable! We highly recommend Gurukul to anyone looking for peace, nature, Yoga, and a genuine connection with the space.
