We very much appreciated our stay at the villa. I could scratch my head for many an hour and still would not think of something that I wished had been different. We loved the sense of hospitality and personal touch of the owners, the thoughtful and tasteful renovation of the historical family home, the pleasant staff and the excellent, fresh food. The villa grounds and their beautiful plants offered us a welcome oasis in the heart of town.

Sometimes in traveling, one comes across a quiet gem that catches you for surprise and makes for a lasting life memory. Ahmed (the owner), Lucky, and their families have succeeded in creating such a place - epitomizing hospitality. Situated in a quiet corner of the old town, this haveli is serene, clean, and welcoming - with rooms that are perfectly sized, comfortable, and well furnished. The beds are remarkably comfortably, and I slept better in them than in my own bed at home. Ahmed's side work in antiquities additionally makes for remarkable decorations and books that can easily steal your attention on a slow night or morning. Ahmed and Lucky's wives run the kitchen and create delicious, fresh dishes which ensured that I had little desire to eat anywhere else! It was so fresh, we'd often put in our dinner orders in mid-afternoon so the ingredients could be picked up from the market the same day. Service was on par with some of the best hotels - with seamless communication to arrange transportation, track travel details, and ensure all was the best it could be. Throughout my stay, Ahmed and Lucky were constantly finding ways to improve my experience and regularly checked that I had everything I needed (even checking on me after I had departed for further locations in my trip). The crowning jewel of the experience was the conversations. Ahmed has created an environment that attracts an excellent variety of travelers and dedicates his evenings to bringing them together and building spontaneous community. Ahmed and Lucky are engaging and candid on their own as well - providing a unique opportunity to learn about the lives and views of Bikaners. Lastly, I must give a special shout out to Lucky's side work as TukTuk driver and guide during the day. He is excellent at both, and provides the rare add-on service of a candid crash course in Indian street knowledge and market practices (if you ask).

ASHOK VILLA is situated in the Ajmer Road district of Jaipur, 1.1 km from Jaipur Railway Station, 4 km from City Palace and 4.1 km from Jantar Mantar, Jaipur. This location is excellent from you go the location history/ Is next the train station. Breakfast and lunch is the the best because the quality.

Boasting mountain views, Khamma Heritage features accommodation with balcony, around 2 km from Mehrangarh Fort. This new guest house located in a former heritage haveli has a lot of cachet and offers large and comfy and nicely decorated rooms. Very soft beds (not always the case in India). The food (breakfast and diner) is excellent. The family that runs this business is very nice. We had some great discussions with the sons. The guest is perfectly located at the foot of the fort and easy to travel around from. The terrasse, where you can have your meals, offers a fantastic view on the fort.

Situated in Jaipur, 1.7 km from City Palace and 500 metres from the centre, Doongri House features air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a shared lounge. Doongri House is a fantastic place to stay in the heart of Jaipur. The hotel is clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. A special thank you to the gentleman who looks after the guests with such care – he treated us to freshly prepared traditional Indian dishes that were absolutely delightful. The hotel also has a spacious and beautiful terrace where you can relax, enjoy your meals, and have breakfast. Its central location makes it convenient for exploring the city. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Jaipur!
