Set in Tuk Tuk in the Sumatra region, Juma cottages features a garden. There is an on-site restaurant and free private parking. The units in the guest house are equipped with a kettle. We would like to thank the owner and his lovely staff for our stay at Juma cottages. The owner picked us up at the ferry pier and we were able to do some laundry, which was very handy. We loved the location on the shore of Lake Toba, the room was huge and extremely confortable with a great bed. Shower was separate from the toilet by a short wall, which is rare enough to be mentioned. The food was very good also (I will dream of the delicious guacamole taco) with a wide choice and freshly made. The garden was very well maintained just like in the picture :)

Situated in Tuk Tuk in the Sumatra region, Leokap Homestay has a balcony and lake views. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the guest house free of charge. I got very sick, which is no fun, specially as a solo traveller, and the ladies at reception helped me sooooo much. The younger sister drove me to the emergency room and even cooked and fed me some rice while I Could barely move. They brought me the food to my room, and where flexible and helpful with everything. Plus, the room is in perfect conditions, with nice views to the lake and close to everything (how shower was highly appreciated)

Facing the seafront, Romlan is a guest house offering a 3-star accommodation in Tuk Tuk. It has a private beach area, garden and private parking. We stayed for a total of 9 nights in Romlan; in two different rooms. Where to start with the things we liked? First of all, the staff of Romlan is very friendly and helpful. They even helped us with calling and getting to the local pharmacy to get some medicines for sickness (one of us got ill and they called the pharmacy that was closed due to the Sunday Service and they opened up the pharmacy for us). The food and drinks of their own restaurant were amazing and very tasty & variable; good price value as well! The location of Romlan is also good: the boat drops you off at their pier and all the things in Tuk Tuk are on walking distance. The views from the rooms and restaurant are amazing. If you want to hire a scooter bike you can without signing for anything and you don't have to fuel up the tank (when you get the bike, the tank is full). A free refill water station is available and also some tips & tricks about the surroundings of Romlan and the transport options from Lake Toba to other places like Berastagi or Medan. Definitely recommended to book your stay at Romlan when you are looking for a place to stay in Tuk Tuk.

The room was very clean, the bed is comfy, the lake view from the balcony was incredible! The host is extremely friendly and always ready to help with anything. They even provide scooters for the rent (cheaper than other places)
