Depending on the season there is a bus to take you into town or the port but if you plan to move around / see the island, it’s definitely worth hiring a car as schedules are limited. However for complete relaxation, you don’t need to move at all - perhaps just walk to the lovely taverna up the road for a meal and then back to your sunbed.
