We travelled to Oxford for a conference, so we got to talk to a lot of people about where they stayed in the same area and it Iconfirmed our impression that we were clearly very lucky to have chosen Sandfield guest house! The host is incredibly kind and helpful (from carrying a heavy suitcase up the stairs to instantly solving another guest's problem in the middle of the night), and if we were traveling non-work related, we would definitely be happy to take advantage of his local knowledge and recommendations. The room was well equipped, comfortable and very cozy with treats (tea, coffee, cookies) that can be selected in advance. The advantage is also parking right in front of the house.

Henley-on-Thames Studio Apartment is set in Henley on Thames, 34 km from Oxford. Great apartment, very well equipped, comfortable and an excellent host. They really have thought of everything and nothing is too much trouble for them. It's very handy location, 10 minute walk or £5 taxi into the town centre. Henley is a lovely place with a wide selection of restaurants to suit all prices. There are also a lot of places close by to visit, apart from a lovely walk along the river. We stayed here last year and have booked to come back next year- I think that says it all. There is a selection of herbs, spices condiments in the kitchen, the sort of thing you wouldn't think of packing and would only think of when you decided to cook, although we ate out every night, there is a fully equipped kitchen, full cooker, dish washer and washing machine.

Featuring free bikes and views of inner courtyard, Handywater Cottages is a guest house situated in a historic building in Henley on Thames, 24 km from Cliveden House. Everything exceeded our expectations. We were embraced with gestures of kindness, thoughtfulness, and warmth. Thank you for your hospitality.

Set in Oxford, 3.2 km from University of Oxford, Acorn Guest House offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Room was very clean, bed quite comfortable, and kitchen well stocked for use of guests. The residence was close to a bus stop for those who don't have a car, or, as was our preference, we walked into town along the path by the canal. Wonderful 15 min walk. Staff were very friendly and check in was easy. Great location for visiting Oxford. Would recommend to anyone.

Located in Banbury and only 26 km from Walton Hall, Avonlea Guest House provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Nice well equipped room with comfortable beds and private parking. A really nice breakfast but the real plus was the outstanding welcome from Darren and Sian and the easy walking access to the centre of Banbury.

Situated just 5 minutes' walk fro the centre of Banbury, the Banbury Cross B&B offers free Wi-Fi access throughout and free onsite parking. Michelle was a delight - very friendly, warm, and helpful. Could not ask for a better experience. Her home is charming and our room warm and comfortable. Breakfast was perfect. We will certainly stay with Michelle and Paul again when next we're in Banbury!
