Starting with a with a warm welcome to the hotel, Sonny's knowledge of the history of the hotel and surrounding area gave a glimpse back in time. The decor of the hotel is very traditional, warm and inviting. The breakfast was wonderful. It was a traditional Scottish breakfast served in a beautifully decorated warm, inviting dining room. The service was friendly and the food was excellent.

Long distance drive meant that I would be arriving late. Not a problem for the Wheatsheaf Inn, I received a phone call half-way through my journey to see how I was getting on. Rooms very clean, I had a great night sleep, bed was very comfy. The breakfast was 10/10 with lots of choices outside of your standard cooked breakfast.

What I loved the most was that it was nice and quiet (perfect for a proper rest). I had a great sleep in the comfy bed, and the room was cosy and warm. The bathroom was immaturely clean and had a nice hot shower. Private entrance so you can come and go as you please without disturbing anyone. I would definitely stay again.
