Boasting a garden and views of garden, Richard Lequet Domaine gastronomique du Val d Atur is a recently renovated guest house set in Boulazac, 48 km from Bergerac Train Station. Hotel was amazing - newly re-furbished the welcome was amazing - Richard came and greeted us and showed us where to park and took our bags. The reception area and lounge were superb. Sadly we had dinner planner otherwise we would have eaten here - but we were offered an amuse bouche with drinks which were great. The staff were so helpful and attentive. Breakfast was great - a large array of pastries, fruit, bread and then eggs cooked anyway we wanted.

The location was fantastic overlooking the Cathedral. The place had the charm of the area as very old but well maintained. The cellar was amazing. The room had a cracking bath which after weeks motor biking around was well appreciated. The breakfast was the best I’ve had after two weeks in numerous hotels/guest houses.

The facilities are great and it’s clear a lot of effort has been put in to the design and upkeep of the Villa. The bed was very comfortable and good modern showers. No better place to go for a relaxing break!
