Best food we had the entire time we were in Fiji, and extremely generous portions! It also happened to be the most affordable meal plan offered at any of the home stays we visited. The property itself is situated on a very nice white sand beach that is just that - sand. Not a lot in the way of coral, but we liked that very much as it was nicer to swim in. Honestly I think this place deserves a lot more guests. We were shocked at the high level of value for the price. It’s certainly going to be a place we revisit many times over the coming years

Everything was perfect, food and service, the island was peaceful, the room was big and comfortable, I enjoyed my stay here.

Wai Makere Home Stay with heart! A rustic, island living experience in the Yasawa islands of Fiji. Much different than the mainland. Small, remote, and tranquil. We flew into Nadi, stayed 1 night, then bought a round trip ferry through South Seas Cruises, which was a good move. They drop you right out front of the bay at Wai Makare to a small boat transfer. A HomeStay here at this eco-resort is unique. We did both the dorm sleeping in single beds with other guests, and a private room with 2 beds. We prefer the private room as a couple. Kind of like glamping. Some updating is in progress. This is a small eco-resort run by a local family that is on the opposite side of the island from the main village. For example, water is captured in a tank from rain water. The fish we ate for lunch was freshly caught the night before. You can sign up to watch them spearfishing 🐟🎏 Good food is prepared for 3 meals a day. Like 3 diff meals were fresh Wahoo fish fillet, vegetable and egg stew, and chop suey. At the homestay… Good food, good people, and snorkeling that is world class. The wide private beach is beautiful with a coral garden drop off and 100s of fish, 50-70 meters swim from the shore. Unplug as there is not wifi here. This was a plus in our eyes and helped us relax. Take pics and post later :-)

Terasa s pogledom na morje je na voljo v vseh enotah. our stay was great! a fabulous opportunity to get to know the real Fijian lifestyle, wonderful people, great food which was prepared from different families and eaten in the different houses, we were surprised about having our own “real” toilet and shower, nice and clean room! beachfront location, very quiet area, beach for our own
