Set in the quiet residential suburb of Vanløse, this guest house is a 10-minute Metro ride from central Copenhagen. It offers free Wi-Fi, as well as a communal kitchenette, TV lounge and washing machine. The hosts were out of town, but we were welcomed instead by Maria who is a friendly and warm woman, who is also doing the cleaning. We got her phone number and could reach her in case of need. We were allowed to use the car port to park our car and avoid paying fines or moving the car between certain hours. The place is clean and warm. Metro/train, supermarket and a few restaurants are within walking distance. We had the place to ourselves most of the time. If there would have been other guests, then maybe the kitchen would be a little small if all guests want to use it at the same time. But you will probably figure that out.

It's a very nice, very interesting and a unique place (with art gallery!) to stay with an absolutely LOVELY host and pretty surroundings, but I think it's crucial that there are actually two facilities up there, which are of very different standards. Rooms with private bathrooms are in a newer building - (seem lovely, price almost the same) and those with shared bathrooms - in an old school (folkeuniversitet).
The beautiful setting, as well as the authentic buildings, make this hotel one on its own. Our room was great, with a comfortable couch to lounge in. The breakfast in the castle was bountifull, and the rooms where we could sit were luxurious. The huge gardens, which are also open for locals to walk their dogs, are exceptional. You will never find this type of hotel when going to the big hotel chains!

Very good hostel on excellent location. The rooms are clean, safe, and spacious. Every room has its own toilet, which is nice.
Excellent common areas to relax and socialise. Great location only a few minute walk from the major train station and bus terminal. Beds were super comfy and rooms modern. Lockers in rooms were small (can’t fit a suitcase) which meant rooms felt smaller as the dorm floors were covered in everyone’s bags instead of packed away. Comfort would be improved with privacy screens on beds, but overall a great hostel option with everything you need.

Very good camping cabin for a family or group of friends. Located on a lake with excellent contained shower/toilets. We only used it as an overnighted but imagine it would be very popular with locals taking the kids fir a camping holiday.
