This family-run guest house is quietly situated in Stadt Wehlen in the heart of the Saxon Switzerland National Park, directly below the world-famous Bastei rock formation. Location is quite and picturesque with convenient connections to everyone. Kitchen in the room is fully equipped with nice selection of cutlery and dishes. Breakfast is good with wide variety of cheese, spreads, breads, tee and delicious jams of crazy flavors. Also chairs in the breakfast hall are comfy provoking to sit and stare in the windows. Bed in the room is amazing, I haven't slept that good for ages! Compared to other hotels nearby parking facilities seem to be outstanding.

Set in Kurort Rathen and only 10 km from Königstein Fortress, Eisenbahnwelten offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is ideal, just a few minutes walk in one direction from the train station with its excellent rail service and a few steps to the ferry giving access to the main village of Unterrathen with the Bastei and walks in the Saxon Switzerland region immediately facing the house. Use of both rail travel and ferry are free with the guest card provided. The buffet breakfast was superb and could not have been better. But what made the stay totally unique was the amazing view from the room window of the river and village together with the huge open-air model railway complex surrounding the house. The staff were consistently friendly and obliging.

Offering inner courtyard views, Lichtenhainer Wasserfall is an accommodation set in Lichtenhain, 17 km from Königstein Fortress and 38 km from Pillnitz Castle and Park. Fabulous room - modern decor well equipped and a great breakfast and good food in the restaurant- staff were nice and friendly

Offering a garden and garden view, Pension Kleiner König is set in Struppen-Siedlung, 3.2 km from Königstein Fortress and 11 km from Saxon Switzerland National Park. Breakfast was reasonably good. Self check-in but it was pretty easy. It provided free parking space. Conveniently located for access to the Sachsen Swiss National Park. Great value.

8.5 km from Pillnitz Castle and Park, Pension Donatus is set in Pirna and offers free WiFi, express check-in and check-out and concierge services. A lovely hotel in beautifully renovated building. The rooms are spacious, fresh, clean, and well appointed. Friendly and helpful staff. The location is ideal; right in the heart of Pirna old town within a few minutes walk to so many restaurants and bars. We would recommend and are very much looking forward to staying here again at the end the Malerweg.

Absolutely wonderful room, with lovely hosts and an ideal location. The room was equipped with everything that I needed (fridge, coffee maker, water boiler). The hosts were attentive and warm and gave me great tips on where to explore. The room was perfectly sized for solo travel, and located close to the town center Koenigstein, as well as the train station and ferry. I recommend staying at this cozy and quiet location for those travelling solo or with a partner.

Located in Hinterhermsdorf and only 19 km from Saxon Switzerland National Park, FH Am Osterbrunnen provides accommodation with quiet street views, free WiFi and free private parking. The house was cozy and traditional, all in wood, nonetheless with the comforts and equipment of a modern flat (every utensil we could need was already available). The hosts are very helpful and kind :) We loved our stay, thank you!
