Located less than 1 km from Playa Pea, Te Ariki - Adults Only offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. This guest house provides free private parking and free shuttle service. I loved my stay at Te Arike. The room was very spacious, clean and modern. Not just a simple hostel, but felt really high-end. The kitchen area was great to prepare my own breakfast. There are 3 mini-markets within 2 minutes walking to buy fresh bread each morning, the rest I had stored in the fridge. The shower was hot, the wifi worked great. I didn’t use the pool or jacuzzi, but it was being cleaned often. The location is close to the town center, everything within walking distance. Host speaks English and picked me up and dropped me of at the airport. I don’t understand the negative comments about the chickens, they were there but it didn’t bother me at all. It’s part of the island life.

The hosts are really nice and can tell you a lot about the city. And they speak english very well - in case your spanish is as bad as ours. The bed was really comfortable.
