Dari the owner is a gem, my plane was very late, the original flight cancelled because of crew change. So I arrived in Puert Montt about 2 or 3 in the morning. A lone taxi appeared after waiting at the airport 30 minutes later ,. I was prepared to spend the night at the airport. Fortunately the taxi driver was very helpful and honest. He took me to Dari,s address and woke her up on the phone. Not many people would bother with this severe inconvenience. I liked the location of the house, plenty of roses in bloom and unusual trees, almost semi rural. Still it was close enough to an expensive supermarket and mall complex, 20 minutes walk away. The centre can be reached by bus 3 or 3A from the MG car dealership on calle Regimiento. On the way back, buses 1A , 1B and 1C drop you off at the Jumbo and Easy supermarket. Lots of unusual birds habit this area, the scenery is nothing too special but it is in a good, safe enough area, plenty of dogs in attendence but not aggressive to strangers.
