I didn’t use the kitchen much, but it would certainly have served the purpose, and having a refrigerator was a big help. Above all, the hosts went out of their way to be gracious and hospitable. My top goal for the stay was finding/seeing some steinböck (ibex), and while I wasn’t successful this time, she pulled out a map and helped me find the most likely trail to hike for a possible glimpse for that time. Then I found out they actually hiked it themselves while I was there to see if there were any around. The included card to get on any of the lifts was a major bonus that made it a great value. It made it easy to decide to head up for another trail even when the weather was borderline, so I got to spend much more of the stay where I wanted (up the mountain). And for the bit of time I did spend in the room, the free WiFi was blazing fast.
