Our stay in Ivan’s apartment was lovely from start to finish. A home from home. Just what we needed after a long day travelling. Although you are renting a private bedroom and bathroom within the apartment, Ivan was happy for us to use the kitchen to make a cup of tea/coffee and use the utensils and plates to eat at his table. Ivan was present, but kept to himself in a seperate part of the apartment, and was very helpful with any questions, and restaurant recommendations. It was a comfort having a local to hand, and we’d definitely stay again, if we visit Biel in the future. Nice central location for attractions and places to eat.

Built in 1873 as a girls' boarding school, the charming Hotel Garni Villa Carmen in La Neuveville at Lake Biel offers an outdoor pool, free Wi-Fi and a tennis court (surcharge). Very friendly staff… breakfast was perfect !
