The room was clean and comfortable, though not soundproof, so you can hear people on the stairs. The shower was a bit weak, but fine for a short stay. Service was excellent— the owner was very accommodating, offering a generous breakfast (50 bolivianos for 2) before our Solar trip. She even contacted the tour agency and provided a hat, which was helpful. They also sell essentials and souvenirs at fair prices. The couple running the place is wonderful, and we’d definitely stay again in Uyuni.

The location is very convenient. The rooms are dated but exceptionally clean, comfortable & accommodating with places to put things. There is a desk, 2 chairs, a wardrobe with hanging space, shelves and drawers; there are little shelves above the sink and in the shower, trash cans in both the bathroom and sleeping area. The breakfast is simple but perfectly adequate with a variety of bread, breakfast sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, juice, scrambled eggs, coffee… José and Yamíl were excellent hosts, friendly, professional and attentive.

HOSTAL SALARCITO is set in Uyuni and features a terrace. Free WiFi is included throughout the property. The nearest airport is Uyuni Airport, 2 km from the guest house. This hostel is awesome. They have a central heating system with radiators in the room that are hot from 6pm until 10pm and from 6am until mid-morning. The bed was super comfortable with thick blankets. The combination of these two things made it a lot more cosy and warm. The staff are super friendly, kind and helpful. The hotel is very close to the centre of town. My stay included breakfast, with tasty local fresh bread, jam, and scrambled eggs. I was very pleased to stay here and strongly recommend it. The WiFi is also good throughout the property, and I was able to stream HD video.
