Children have a playground with different types of games (trampoline, archery, etc.), a terrace where you can drink your morning coffee and admire the view.

A wonderful small family-run hotel in the centre of the old town part of Veliko Tărnovo. The location is perfect, especially as it’s located one block away from the sometimes noisy main road. It’s a well-designed new building and spotlessly clean. Miroslav, the host while I was there, was a fountain of information and tremendously helpful in making onward travel plans.

On arrival the host was absolutely lovely, and we got a beautiful, big and clean room. The bed and mattress were so comfortable, didn’t want to get out of bed! There was free tea and coffee at reception, where we could help ourselves at any time. The location was great and we walked everywhere within 10-15 minutes. Free parking was very useful and our little dog was more than welcome. This is a beautifully designed property by the river in nature away from the hustle and bustle but so near to everything at the same time. It should be called boutique hotel not a guesthouse! Will be back here!

This was probably one of the warmest, kindest, cleanest and joyful place we have ever stayed. The hosts are full of life and life tales, they make you feel so much at home and treat you like one of their friends from the second they meet you. The room was spacious, clean and quiet with everything you could possibly need to make the stay perfect.

Boasting a shared lounge, garden and views of river, HiStory INN Unique Guest House is situated in Veliko Tŭrnovo, 200 metres from Archaeological Museum Veliko Turnovo. The guest house is very nice. The room was clean, comfortable and very warm. There was noise from outside because the windows are opening to the railways but it didn't bother us, if the noise is a problem for you don't forget to take some earplugs.

Located just a block off the main thoroughfare, Hotel Gurkov offers expansive views of Veliko Tărnovo, basilicas, monuments and the surrounding hills and river valley. The rooms are newly furnished, comfortable, and very clean. Linens were crisp and the WiFi fast and secure. Our room was on the third floor and featured a terrace to survey this lovely former capitol of Bulgaria. Restaurants and shops are an easy three minute walk slightly downhill from the hotel. Our Host was very gracious! She provides an included breakfast buffet in a charming dining room, flooded with light from large windows. There are also two outdoor covered terraces as gathering spaces. A communal refrigerator is located for guests in sitting areas on each floor.
