They had fruits as well as egg hams, local cheese and home-made marmalade. They also adapted to my gluten free diet without a problem. They made local recommendations about where to hike and where to eat. Very nice couple!

Situated just 18 km from GC Brand, Montahaus features accommodation in Vandans with access to a garden, barbecue facilities, as well as a shared kitchen. The owners are warm and friendly and the location is quiet an easy to find. The stay was absolutely wonderful- there is a shared kitchen and a guest room for guests and the kitchen was fully equipped with all possible amenities like a kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, stove as well as with all sorts of plates, bowls, mugs and cutlery- everything that you could need for a comfortable stay. The guest room had a coffee machine and was fully stocked with creamers, sugar and coffee as well as offered an assortment of teas as well as some light alcohols. The bedroom was lovely and very clean and airy and you cannot beat the view of the mountains right outside your windows. The shower was very clean and had hot water available at all times. Overall, very pleasant stay and I would highly recommend!

Haus Schwendinger is such a beautiful home. the owners/managers are incredibly kind and gracious. one of the nicest places I’ve staid in the Alps. I’ll always try to stay here when I come back to Mellau.
