Koselig sted, men var ikke klar over at det var så langt å gå fra bussen. Det var ikke mulig å spise middag på stedet, men verten fulgte oss gladelig en snarvei gjennom skogen til en fantastisk familiedrevet restaurant (gjestehus). Flott å sitte ute på gresset på ettermiddagen og nyte utsikten over fjellene. Verten var veldig hyggelig, imøtekommende og pratsom. God frokost på altanen før vi tok fatt på turen over fjellet til Theth. Vi fant ingen butikk å handle mat på i Valbone, men verten smurte god niste til oss for noe lite ekstra betaling.

The Mehmeti family felt like a home away from home. They really made us feel at home and cooked lunch and diner for us during our stay. The garden is beautiful and we really enjoyed relaxing in the garden with a beer and wine. I would say don’t look further and this is the only place you need to be during your stay in Valbone

Zeneli Alpin Chalet has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Çerem. This guest house offers a garden. All rooms are fitted with a balcony with views of the garden. We were hiking the Peaks of the Balkans trail and originally planned to only stay one night but we instantly loved this place so much that we extended our stay. The rooms have a lovely view on the mountains and the outside dining area was breathtaking. What made it special though was the hospitality of the host Leila, she cooked the most delicious food and was super flexible on timing and special requests, basically everything. This is truly a hidden gem in the mountains!

Located in Valbonë in the Kukës County region, Guesthouse Mountain features a garden. With mountain views, this accommodation provides a terrace. Coming from a 6-hour hike all the way from Theth, we couldn't have been better received. For our luck, we were able to hitchhike on the last few kilometers by the end of the trail to Valbona's centre, which was perfect giving the location of the guesthouse! The family was very kind and helpful. They recommended us some really stunning nearby hikes and we had fun watching the chickens and chicks running around in the backyard. They offer dinner at a very cheap price and the food is delicious. The room was spacious and had a clean, private bedroom. The best thing about our stay was the beautiful view of the mountains!

The owner was very friendly and we could ask him about hiking tours in the area. Breakfast was a buffet and you could take as much as you wanted. Lunch packages for daily hiking tours were offered optionally. In the evening comfy firepit. The place itself and the view was amazing!
