We stayed at Eight Palms for one night, as a stopover in our journey. Carmien was fabulous, and was very helpful in guiding us on where to go for a great dinner, and arranged an amazing cooked breakfast for us even though we were leaving very early the next morning.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Fantastic place with a lovely host. See my other review, we stayed here on two occasions on the same trip. Dave Page, the owner, drove us down to the start of our Wild Coast hike in his pickup, and picked us up again when we got back. What a kind man - thank you!
Dave is a great host. He arranged dinner for us at two great restaurants and it was always funny to chat with him. If you like golf this is the place to be.
It was easy to find. Great location, quiet, clean and the owners was great host. Very friendly. Had trouble with our vehicle and the owners wanted to assist us with the issue. Would differently recommend this place.
