What can I say, the location is stunning - ancient feeling forests on the side of a valley, with our private apartment privately nestled under stunning trees with a great view.
The room was perfectly appointed with a wonderfully comfortable king bed with first class linen.
The bathroom too was excellent with plenty a large bath and a good shower. Of course, there was also an outdoor shower which was fun, and the private sauna was very relaxing, and a quick plunge in the private pool afterward was invigorating.
The TV had all DSTV options, and I was able stream YouTube with my own account from my phone.
Dinner was out of this world, 6 courses, different every night prepared by world class chefs. Breakfast too was great with freshly baked goodies, cold buffet plus hot to order, again by chefs who know how to make a perfect omelette or benedict.
If you have special dietary preference/requirements, you can be assured they will exceed your expectations.
On the one morning we decided to go to Kruger (30 minutes to the gate) early, and we were kindly packed a portable breakfast and met at 5:30 am with cappuccinos and needed paperwork, so we could just breeze through the gates.
But probably the greatest asset High Grove boasts are well trained staff who truly do everything they can to make you stay unforgettable.

Wonderful place! Beautiful, well-equiped and comfortable cottages. Very friendly and responsive host and staff. We wanted to check-out early and received a lovely breakfast-to-go! The swimming pool looked very inviting but given it was winter time the water was a bit too chilly. Must come back in summer! 15 minutes drive to Kruger Park.

Everything was perfect. The lodge in which we stayed was very good, clean and complete. The porch outside with the nice view just made it perfect. We entered the park via Paul Kruger gate as it was recommended by several locals over Numbi. Once your in the park, the campsite is great. The tents have extremely comfortable beds and great airco. Breakfast en dinner options were fine and staff behind the front desk very helpful. The swimmingpool is fantastic after long and hot selfdrive through the park.
The cleanliness of the place, the availability of two large double beds is a major convenience.
The welcoming committee was amazing, there was a team of locals dancing on the bonfire 🔥🔥🔥
Phillip and Margi are really great hosts!!!! They helped us a lot with our lost baggage in JoBurg airport, repeatedly phoned and looked after!. Both know all the good iand interesting places around and give very good advice. Breakfast ist outstanding.
