It was indeed more than what is normally expected from a homestay in a remote province. Nice and clean room, looks new, private rest room, delicious diner, warm hospitality
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
This really felt like an authentic homestay with a family of 4 in a beautiful rural area. The hosts were very welcoming and we communicated mainly through Google translate. The meal was the best we had whilst cycling the Ha Giang loop, all locally grown and delicious! The two children were a lot of fun to play with and the hosts even accommodated for our early start and made us breakfast before we left!
We found this Homestay to be really high quality. The bungalow was really cute and comfortable, with a private bathroom and porch. The host doesn’t speak much English, but provided us a delicious dinner that we shared with other guests.
The family who run this homestay are fabulous, friendly and cook up delicious meals to share. The location is in a small authentic Vietnamese village which is lovely to wander around, and there are Red Dao herbal baths you can visit only a few minutes walk from the property. The property is clean and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We loved our time spent here, and would definitely return. Thankyou!
The young owners are friendly and we shared a delicious meal with them. There are lots of homestays in this village, this is one of the last ones, a nice and quiet place. When we stayed there, there were two swallow nest with young birds. I recommend you to stay here!
We had a great stay at Dien Homestay. House made with wood is beautiful. The family was very kind and we shared with them an amazing dinner with local specialties. Breakfast was also very good.
Authentic and cozy home stay and the hosts were very friendly. Nice spot to stop while doing the loop, as it is quite close to Heaven's gate and the Lung Khui cave.
Lovely couple run this place. They don’t speak English but with Google Translate it’s not a problem. They have a couple of cute kids running around who are sweet.
The beds are fine, good covers for when it is cold. The building is made from wood which you can smell when you’re in the room, very nice.
It is a Homestay so the walls don’t go right to the roof so noise could be an issue but wasn’t during my stay.
The Homestay in this area are part of an initiative for employment and development in this local group and is fantastic.
Fantastic home built in traditional style. The host family were lovely and cooked us a delicious meal which we shared with them. They also served pancakes with fruit and coffee for breakfast. They spoke limited English but we made it work with Google translate to learn about their family and lifestyle. Room was simple but clean.
Close to nature. Nice friendly hostess. We had a very nice hotpot dinner cooked by the host family with home produce from chicken to veggies, greens and also purple rice wine.
