Room 204 was very nice. Large, clean, bright with lots of natural light coming in from 2 sides.
The large beds were very comfortable as was the comforter.
The electric lights were bright and strong.
The view from the balcony was nice with the rural scenery.
The sitting area next to the pool was very relaxing in the absence of chattering tourists.
The location is good for its tranquility as long as you have a scooter or car to get around.
The friendly owner speaks good English.

We had initially booked the room for one night, but decided to stay for another night just because we loved the place so much! Very comfortable, large and airy room with a balcony and a nice view, delicious breakfast for a great price (40k/person), and the owner was soooo helpful and hospitable. Best stay we've had in Vietnam! Place is conveniently located on a side street, so it's quite quiet, and only a short walk from the main gulf - we actually enjoyed the walk and being away from the noise. Hope to be back sometime.

The host family are wonderful, so welcoming and friendly. The garden is beautifully maintained and the rooms simple but clean. We bought meals from the restaurant which were delicious and reasonably priced. The location is very quiet and peaceful. The breakfast included in the price is a bonus and very nice.

The host, Phuong, and her family are simply amazing and take exceptional care of the guests. They told us to feel like at home and we really did. You'll get advice and help with anything you may need. Breakfast is true Vietnamese cuisine, so be ready for a taste adventure: sticky rice, pumpkin porridge, bao or banh mi with Vietnamese coffee.

The matron of the household went out of her way to cook us a late breakfast and check in on what we wanted to eat. The place was conveniently located. AC worked really well. They gave us an upgraded room without an extra charge.

Linda is amazing! Everything you need, she would deliver. Definitely take the halong bay tour through the homestay, its an amazing tour done by locals. If you have the chance to do the family dinner, definitely do it. A trip to the caves and the park is also a great activity. If you do not want to do the scooters Linda can arrange a private cab.
CatBaCorner is a lovely small set up with recently built rooms, a view on a pond and absolutely outstanding welcome and service by owner Phuong.
The room is large enough, the beds comfy, sitting area outside etc. All simple, but tastefully done.
Everyday another breakfast, all yummy. Phuong arranged our laundry, a scooter and tips where to eat/ go as well as our bus ride to Ninh Binh. She is the most lovely host there is!

Very nice homestay in quiet, beautiful area. It's a bit remote, but with the motorbike it's very easy to get around. Especially the entry to the National Park trails is very close by.
Super nice host family, spacious and well equipped room (wardrobe and a very good hairdryer, ac, bathroom amenities, ...) and good food in the restaurant! And many cute animals around ;) We enjoyed our stay here so much, that we stayed 2 nights more than originally planned, cảm ơn!

Rented a bike from them and had laundry done, all went smoothly. We liked the location as it was quieter and among the locals. Means there is a short walk to the center, 10 minutes down a hill.

Homestay is a little bit outside the city (about 15min) but you can rent a motorbike or take the local bus.
The beach next door is really nice, has a small local bar and the locals are making a lot of effort to clean it !

It was in a great location and one of the cleanest places we stayed in Vietnam. The host family were amazing helping us with information about the island, pick up and drop offs and booking our bus back to Hanoi. My husband and I did the cooking class with Tam and it was fantastic. We rented a scooter from the Homestay to tour around the island and had delicious breakfast and dinners outside on the roof top with a view of the mountains.
Perfect homestay about 15 minuten from Cat Ba town. Linda is a great host and can arrange everything for you around the island. We rented a scooter, booked a boat trip and did our laundry.
Breakfast is fine. Lunch and dinner are good and prices are low.
Last but not least: great pool for cooling down
Linda is such a lovely host, going out of her way in helping you. The Homestay is lovely, surrounded by a beautiful garden. We loved that the location is in a quiet area. It is easy to get around by scooter.
This is a really lovely Homestay, we felt very welcome into their home and the family are very kind. The breakfast was great too!
The location is a walk away from the main part of town, but we enjoyed it as it felt more like a locals area, and there were good restaurants and bars round there.
