Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
This was my second stay at Chapter as i loved it the first time round. Great hostal, well priced and the staff there are great. Perfect to have a little slice of peace amongst the chaos of travel, and has a couple of bus stops within a couple minutes walk for easy access to the city. Highly recommend
The location was excellent, lots of food options. Hotel is near the water but close to key transport routes into centre. Staff are very helpful and welcoming. Excellent standards for a budget room. Safer neighborhood full of locals and young families.
Easy location to restaurants, transport and the wharfs. According to locals we spoke with the in house restaurant is quite good - it closes early so we missed out. They offer complementary chilled filtered water, coffee & pastries in the morning reception. Hot water good in shower.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Condo. Nicola is a great host, she surprised us with breakfast basics at arrival. It is a safe and quiet location, a convenient Uber ride to the city . We liked to relax in the garden. Everything we needed was available. The bed is very comfortable. Xander is a beautiful and gentle soul. We will be back for sure :-)
Good hostel, comfy beds and enough room in the dorms. There’s free breakfast (tea, coffee, cereal & porridge).
Location good, rather posh, which is good since there won’t be a lot of homeless/drug addicts.
Staff very friendly.
Lot‘s of free parking which is great and rare in cities!!
What a lovely hostel!! The green tortoise is a great place to stay in San Francisco. The location is perfect to explore the city, the staff is always helpful and you feel comfortable from the beginning. The common areas are perfect to socialise with other travelers and the free breakfast is delicious and way more than just cereals. Sadly I didn't have much time in SF, but I know where to stay when I'll come back;).
