We stayed over Memorial Day 2024. Ultra clean and comfy. Nice extra touches like the fridge stocked with sodas, beer and water. Complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. Beautiful garden and patio. Great location in a quiet residential neighborhood but very close to San Diego attractions like Balboa Park, zoo and Old Town. Gracious and responsive hosts. We LOVED our 4 night stay. Excellent host. Good location near beaches and plenty of options within walking distance. Belmont Park is not far at all. Overall good value. Parking option was good to have on a busy holiday.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
We had a great experience at the Emerald Guest House. The house is very clean, very well-equipped with nice furniture, and safe. The location is perfect ; 10 mins from San Diego city center, 15 mins from the airport. Joe is a great host; all the instructions for the self check-in and check-out were very clear and Joe is quick to respond and very nice. We highly recommend this place; it’s definitely one of the best we’ve been to.
Very good Hostel in Gaslamp Area. Staff were very nice and helpful. Quiet and clean. Bed was quite big and clean. Good breakfast. Wi-Fi ok. Nice historical building with cute pink coloured outdoor. Will stay again next time in San Diego.
What a great host and a great location. We liked the area a lot, the casita is very close and in walking distance to a huge varitety of cafes, restaurants and bars. The sunset on the balcony is a beauty.
The place was upscale indeed. Good location, lovely house, clean and tidy room, provisions i.e kitchen , living room, hot tub etc as advertised. Shops and grocery stores just five minutes walk. Above all peace and quiet. Gabe is a great host. Highly recommend!
