Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Troy was very attentive and a good host.
The room was clean and comfortable. If you are just looking for a place to rest, it is good.
The location was good for me as I was visiting people in Oceanview.
Troy is a great host super friendly and kind nothing is too much issue. He has gone above and beyond to make guest comfortable and ensure they have everything they need.
Quiet location but close to a great local restaurant and bar. To top the stay off we spent the evening in the hot tub once the sun had set and could see hundred of stars and the Milky Way. Special place would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about booking.

Troy is a great host, provides excellent local knowledge and facilities to enjoy your time exploring the Big Island. The location was a great base to get around the whole Island.
We’ve had a really pleasant stay (six nights) at this accommodation. Troy is a great host and made us feel like coming home. Everything was clean and we’ve had everything we needed. Sharing the living room and kitchen with Troy was also no problem.
Troy also took us on a tour arround the rough coast near Ocean View on his ATV’s, which was also an amazing experience. We’ve got at places we otherwise couldn’t get to. Would definitely come back!
