The owner was very friendly and very helpful. The owner tried to help as much as possible. He offered to take us to alishan for morning sun rise for an adequate price. Since we had rented our own car, we needn't his offer. Though it was a bit of a challenge to get from Taichung by car up to the hills in fenchihu!
The view from our room was stunning! You can eat your breakfast (which was cooked by the owner and was very delicious) outside and enjoy the stunning view! It was very beautiful.

This is a brand new hotel with very clean maintenance. Location is amazing. It has a great view You can see the sunrise from the room balcony. Hotel owner is a great person. He can communicate in English very well. He can help you guide on how to visit places around. Overall, it’s all worth the money.

Location. Fenqihu is one of the larger villages in the Alishan area, has enough food facilities and has some lovely walks of cedar and bamboo trails. Easy to walk to bus stop and train station. But the bus and train schedules to other villages/areas are very limited and specific, and need to be very carefully studied and coordinated for the solo traveller; otherwise much time is lost waiting for buses and one can be stranded without transport back.

We enjoyed our stay at Mountain Tourism Home Stay. There are road signs to the property on the last couple metres of road leading up to the property. Good breakfast provided. Bring your own car and food for all other meals, good kitchen and appliances available for cooking your own food. Fridge available in the room to store personal food. Able to communicate with the host using Google translate.
Good location for sunrise view. Spacious room with clean bathroom attached. Warm welcome from homestay owner. They serve nice breakfast, vege from their own farm , is fresh and sweet. Worth for a stay !! ❤️
