The location is good, on the island you really need to be able to ride a scooter for ease of getting around,, but the house is very close to a nice beach and ferry and snorkel fishing tour.
I highly recommend Khood life for a group to stay on the island, would love to come back again
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Great hosts, peaceful location and a clean room. Scooter rental was possible for 200 to 250 baht per day and the scooter I rented was in good condition. Pickup and transfer to the piers was free of charge and the hosts could book you tickets if you wanted to.
Fantastic guesthouse (not really a homestay). Very helpful hosts, relaxed vibe. Rooms are big, good as new, nicely designed and kept very clean. Has fridge, shelves, good AC and fan. Nice communal areas. 10 minutes walk to the nearest beach, restaurants nearby. Need a scooter to get the best out of the island.
EVERYTHING! Don’t let the amount of reviews put you off. Natida is the best host we have ever come across and we are both experienced travellers. She arranged a free dinner for her guests to meet and socialise and also took us to a sunset spot which only locals are aware of. On our last night she arranged leaving drinks and also saw us off at the pier when we left. Great view of the river from our deck, very clean and tidy. Could not recommend enough.

Renting a scooter is possible and cost us 250 BHT, around the Homestay are a few cute restaurants who offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. We especially liked Q Bar :).
What fantastic value and lovely host. Staff was really helpful in booking things and always so helpful. Very clean and a well kept property. Quiet, large comfy bed, lovely flowers and manicured surroundings. I would come back here in a heartbeat—I definitely would recommend this place for visiting Ko Mak.
