The hotel is situated in a quiet area ca 600 mts distant to the main road where you find everything you need. Rooms are comfortable, equipped with TV and fridge. Some have a balcony to watch the sunset. Rooms are exceptionally clean with daily service. You can arrange a good breakfast. Owner Daniel is friendly and helpful and has excellent knowledge about the region. He offers laundry service as well. The attached bar is home to a nice cat.
Pension Bicuar is a one-minute walk from Olhão’s waterfront and offers a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the Algarvian mountains, the Atlantic and the Ria Formosa Natural Park.

We stayed for three nights in this little place: it was a jolly and happy atmosphere, and it had more of a "hostel" vibe, with a shared kitchen, a shared terrace, and rooms carved out around a tiny open court (full with plants) in the middle of old buildings, in the center of Olhāo. The place is pet-friendly, so we encountered cats here and there, from guests and from the hotel. A purrfect plus :)
The room was simple and it had everything we needed, the bathroom was recently renovated (with a few pieces that were not in super good shape, but manageable), and they cleaned the room every day.
The people working there were amazing, super nice, and very helpful with tips for food, places to go, etc.

Delicious breakfast with fresh, local produce. Great location. We had such a great stay and would highly recommend.
Delio was such a great host. My train was delayed, resulting in a missed connection, and instead of arriving at the property at 6pm, I got there after 11, but Delio was friendly and gracious and did not seem perturbed by meeting me at such a late hour.
The apartment was great, super clean, easy to check in and check out. Great host and the location, the best. Just at the marina and lots of cool restaurants around. And really lovely neighborhood. Perfect for a family or group of friends. Highly recommend.
