lovely garden around property, good sized car park, nice to have tea and coffee facilities in the breakfast room, as other places in Portugal didn't have any such facilities. Host was very helpful, speaks many languages and gave us two excellent restaurant suggestions in nearby village and rung up to make reservations for us. We stayed there in late October so didn't use swimming pool so can't comment on that. You do need own transport to use this place.

Beautiful place, stunning location! The pool is incredible also, really loved swimming at sunset. It is very peaceful, and we were lucky when we were there as we were the only guests so we had the place to ourselves :-) The room was spotless and huge, with unbroken views to Monsaraz. They are incredibly hospitable, and for our anniversary gifted us a cake, decorated the room with heart balloons and gave us a nice bottle of local red wine. What a lovely surprise!! Breakfast the next day also had hearts on our table :-) The breakfast is generous and the scrambled eggs are some of the best we've had. YUM. We were also given early check-in and late check-out, making for a truly stress-free night away! Thank you!

The property was clean, central to our destination, the Dark Sky Observatory. The Owner was happy and offered us superb advice regarding the visiting of Monseraz Castle. We went to that castle and the owners advice was spot on. It was a fantastic experience and a thumbs up and well deserved full marks for the property and owner. The owners, Susana and Guillermo, were the most lovely hosts. Viva Farmhouse is gorgeous and impeccable in its design… down to the finest details. They were inviting, warm and so welcoming. The breakfast is to die for and added features of a sustainable garden and baby goats and rabbits made our visit, though too short, incredible. We will definitely be back for longer.
