We like the peaceful neighbourhood and the serene location. The size of the room was spacious for 3 people and it is very clean. Shower was very powerful and warm. Many games and books that were for adults and children to enjoy. The staffs are very friendly although we don't speak the language. Owner was friendly and she gave us information about birding in the area.

Wonderful accommodation. We stayed in room 15 which had amazing bathroom and views over the river and town. Very clean and had everything we needed. Maria was a great host. Breakfast was perfect for price. Will visit again we are sure.
We were welcomed by Joao, a great host, who provided breakfast and helpful information for us. For example, he had books for us about birds and other wildlife when he found out that we are nature enthusiasts and he gave us hiking maps as well. The Guest House is fabulous and equipped with everything one can wish. Great restored house with lots of charme in the old town of Mertola!
We loved our stay!
Well equipped, comfortable bed, attractive location with views over the town. Quiet but only 5 minute walk to several restaurants and supermarket. Maria is a great host.
Great little hotel, brilliantly located in the parc natural. Lovely staff who could not have been more helpful, there are many restaurants and bars nearby. The locals were very welcoming on the whole and the food is a real experience. The views from the room was exceptional. The pool was officially closed until April as it is considered too cold but I was allowed to use it as I love cold water swimming and it was wonderful. We are definitely going to return.
This is a beautifully appointed house. Very tasteful with every possible attention to detail. Everything was easy about getting there, including the ease of parking and contact with our lovely host Susana. Everything was comfortable.
Jose was a great host, welcoming, friendly, and very helpful.
Breakfast was wonderful, plentiful with a wide selection. The location was perfect for us. Close to a local restaurant and just a short drive into Mertola, with great views of the surrounding countryside from the patio outside the room, west facing perfect for sundowners. For me, the best feature was the wonderful pool and terrace on the upper level. Friendly dogs were an added bonus.
Large apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms arranged in very homey style with bamboo lined ceiling, we felt like locals. Good location, just next door to the castle, supermarket and restaurants.
The hotel is located not far from the castle and the Mertola "river beach" which is scenic though some people did say there were places where locals swam. We had use of the kitchen. We would have liked to have had access to the sun terrace but this was closed. Good for a short stay.
