19 Tile Ceramic Concept Hotel is a beautifully designed hotel with individually decorated rooms. The theme is craft and design, so expect interesting ceramic works everywhere, as well as stylish furniture, fixtures and lighting. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The bed was wonderfully large and comfortable — a true king size, and the shower was great. The hotel is very well located in the city center, museums and Parque Dom Carlos I.

While we were checking in we met Sergio, the property handyman, who was God sent. We had large suitcases and had no idea how we were going to get them to the property, he offered to help and went to the bus station to carry both suitcases through the coble stone streets and up the staircases to our room. He also helped us out during check out. A CARING, WONDERFUL PERSON that should be appreciated and rewarded by the property management.
The property and the town was absolutely amazing, we felt traqnsported to medieval times. Well worth the trip!

Beautiful characterful old building, outstanding location looking straight out over the Atlantic Ocean. Very cool vibe inside, well run for the past 42 (?) years by George and Elsa, great hosts, fab breakfast accompanied by classical music and pastel de nata . Rooms are plain, clean and comfortable.

Stunning views of the sea and lagoon from the terrace. Lovely hosts who gave us tomatoes and green pepper from their garden.
The top floor apartment is correctly advertised and priced as a basic apartment as it does not have air con or hot plates to cook, however is does have a small microwave and a good fridge/freezer. Close (10 min. walk downhill) to a selection of restaurants. We particularly liked the fish at the Europa restaurant.
Very cozy and idyllic hostel with very nice terraces where you can enjoy a beer. Lourenço and his dog Charly are great hosts who welcomed us very warmly. Thanks for the good food and sightseeing recommendations!
